Today’s Multilingualism track at the ESPERIDTA Winter School offered a sharp, three-angle look at how multilingual education can be designed, governed, and justified in practice. 🎓 First, Alicja Kalata and Zuzanna Zielińska showcased “Digital Tools for Multilingual Education”—a brisk tour of classroom-ready platforms that help build multilingual tasks, amplify learner voice, and streamline teacher workflows. 💻 Then Tetiana Lazaruk connected strategy to practice with “Multilingualism & Integration: How EU Language Policy Promotes Social and Academic Inclusion,” translating high-level frameworks into school-level actions—what to adapt, how to measure, and where inclusion can falter. 🏛️ Finally, Viktoriia Aktash and Alina Pastoshchuk reframed languages as tangible value in “The Economics of Being Multilingual in the European Union,” linking skills to mobility, employability, and regional competitiveness. 📈
Across sessions, participants compared toolchains, mapped policy to timetables and assessment, and tested simple indicators to track inclusion and learning gains.
