🥳Celebrating 35 Years of Jean Monnet Actions and Insights for the ESPERIDTA Project🤩

🌍 On 9 - 10 October 2024, as the coordinator of the newly awarded ESPERIDTA project – European Studies for Supporting Polish Education and Research in Digital Transformation: Interdisciplinary Approach (Grant Agreement 101172710 — ESPERIDTA — ERASMUS-JMO-2024-HEI-TCH-RSCH), officially funded by the European Commission 🇪🇺 and hosted by the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw (Poland) 🇵🇱, I had the privilege of joining the “35 Years of Jean Monnet Actions” Anniversary Conference (Change the EU, change your world, one lecture at a time). 🎉✨
The event was held in a hybrid format, both online and offline, at The Square, Brussels, Belgium. 💻📍

I was particularly intrigued by the inspiring presentation on “Practicing common values in a living democracy” delivered on 9 October 2024 by Kris Grimonprez, Visiting Professor at KU Leuven, Faculty of Law, focusing on EU Citizenship Education. Another highlight for me was the Parallel thematic workshops, especially the session titled “EU fit-for-purpose: is it time for main institutional changes?” with contributions from: Silvia Sassi, Professor of Comparative Public Law at the University of Florence; Carlo Amenta, Associate Professor of Business Economics at the University of Palermo.

A huge thank you to all the organizers for such a meaningful and insightful event. This conference is vital in fostering discussions around EU values and institutional reforms, helping to shape the future of Europe’s role on the global stage. It’s a reminder of how essential it is to bring together experts from different fields to explore new ideas and address pressing challenges. 🙌
