The ESPERIDTA project aims to support Polish education and research in digital transformation by studying and integrating EU priorities, standards, policies, strategies, and best practices through an interdisciplinary approach. This initiative will equip various target groups with knowledge and tools to navigate and benefit from the EU's digital transformation agenda. During winter and summer school, the project will deliver 100 hours of lectures and 260 hours of practical workshops.
A core feature of the project is the creation of the e-Lab “Digital European Studies” (DES), a unique digital platform designed to collect, generate, and disseminate knowledge. Using an interdisciplinary framework, the e-Lab will integrate EU priorities, strategies, and best practices into education and research. The platform will be a hub for resources, innovative teaching materials, and collaborative research to foster understanding and application of EU policies in digital transformation.
The project will integrate EU priorities into five key interdisciplinary modules delivered during the winter and summer schools: “European Studies through Digital European Languages Policies,” “European Studies through Digital Historical Developments,” “European Studies through Digital European Law,” “European Studies through Digital Management,” and “European Studies through Digital Political Science.” These modules will provide participants with practical skills and theoretical knowledge on how digital transformation impacts various aspects of European Studies, emphasizing innovative approaches and solutions.
The project's research component will include the publication of 12 scientific articles addressing the integration of EU policies into digital education and research, as well as the hosting of an international scientific-practical conference and a forum. These events will encourage dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders and generate valuable insights and strategies for advancing the digital transformation of education and research.
The dissemination phase will ensure the project’s findings and resources reach a broad audience. Activities will include launching a dedicated website and social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube) and publishing an annual booklet summarizing project updates, events, and outcomes. Roundtable discussions will engage HEIs, public organizations, media, and government stakeholders to discuss challenges and opportunities in integrating EU priorities into Polish education and research.
The ESPERIDTA project's outcomes are ambitious and impactful. These include the launch of the e-Lab “Digital European Studies” (DES), comprehensive teaching materials for the five modules, 12 scientific articles, proceedings from the scientific-practical conference, and an informational summary of the forum’s discussions and outcomes. Additionally, the project will establish online platforms for disseminating knowledge, fostering international collaboration, and promoting awareness of digital transformation’s role in European Studies.
The project’s primary target groups include students, teachers, and researchers from Polish HEIs and other EU institutions, civil servants, policymakers, representatives of public organizations, and media professionals. By focusing on these groups, the project seeks to create a ripple effect, ensuring that the integration of EU priorities in digital transformation reaches the broader academic, professional, and societal levels.
Ultimately, the ESPERIDTA project strives to position Polish education and research at the forefront of digital transformation. It fosters stronger ties with EU policies and priorities while preparing a new generation of informed and capable professionals to contribute to Europe’s digital future.
